Bishop Middleham, County Durham - born, she was initially an actress with some TV and film parts and appeared in TV's 'Kaleidoscope'. Best known for her innovative children's programmes which she also created and produced, as well as pop music programmes for Granada TV. This versatile lady was also a disc jockey on Radio Luxembourg and a continuity announcer on ITV from its earliest days in 1955, and presented and interviewed on regional ITV programmes.
